The UnShaadi programme.
Last updated: July 2026
Welcome to UnShaadi.
UnShaadi is a highly curated dating programme for legally single adults seeking sincere, meaningful and long-term relationships.
We are not an open dating app, a matrimonial catalogue or a platform where members browse hundreds of profiles. Every person enters the community through a thoughtful screening process, and every introduction is carefully considered.
Our programme has been built around a simple belief: the quality of the people, the intention behind every interaction and the environment in which two people meet can dramatically improve the possibility of finding a genuinely compatible partner.
These terms explain how the UnShaadi experience works and what members can expect from us and from one another.
By applying, registering or participating in the programme, you agree to the terms below.
1. The UnShaadi experience
UnShaadi creates carefully curated opportunities for members to meet people who are sincere, emotionally available and genuinely interested in building a meaningful relationship.
Depending on the programme selected, the experience may include:
- A personal screening and suitability assessment
- Creation of your internal member profile
- Thoughtfully curated one-on-one introductions
- Online or offline dates and conversations
- Repeat meetings where there is mutual interest
- Scheduling and coordination support
- Reflection, guidance or feedback during the programme
- Selected community experiences or singles events
The exact duration, inclusions, pricing and applicable taxes for your programme will be communicated before registration.
2. A selective community
UnShaadi is intentionally selective.
Every applicant is assessed for sincerity, relationship readiness, communication, conduct and suitability for the programme.
We may consider factors including:
- Relationship intent
- Emotional readiness
- Communication style
- Honesty and self-awareness
- Respect for other people
- Compatibility with the UnShaadi format
- Safety and suitability for the wider community
- Availability within the relevant member pool
Applying to UnShaadi or being invited for a conversation does not automatically guarantee admission. We may accept, defer or decline an application where we believe that the programme is not currently the right fit for the applicant or the community.
This selectivity is one of the reasons members can enter the programme with greater confidence in the seriousness and quality of the people they meet.
3. Eligibility
To apply for membership, you must ordinarily:
- Be at least 23 years old
- Be legally single
- Not be in an ongoing romantic relationship
- Be genuinely interested in a meaningful relationship
- Be willing to participate honestly and respectfully
Limited flexibility regarding the minimum age may be considered where an applicant demonstrates sufficient maturity and sincerity.
You must inform UnShaadi promptly if your relationship or marital status changes during the application process or programme.
4. Honest and complete information
Trust begins with honesty.
Applicants and members are expected to provide truthful, current and reasonably complete information.
This includes information relating to:
- Identity and age
- Relationship and marital status
- Location
- Profession
- Children
- Lifestyle
- Relationship intentions
- Material personal circumstances
- Any information that may reasonably affect another member's decision to meet or continue an interaction
You must update UnShaadi if any material information changes during your membership.
False, incomplete or deliberately misleading information may result in rejection, suspension or discontinuation of membership.
5. Screening and admission
Applicants may be invited to complete one or more screening conversations through telephone, video call, audio call, an in-person meeting or another appropriate format.
The purpose of screening is not to judge whether someone is universally "good enough." It is to understand whether the applicant is sincere, emotionally ready and likely to benefit from the UnShaadi format at that stage of their life.
Where a screening payment is required before the assessment is completed, the applicable conditions will be explained before payment.
If an applicant participates sincerely, provides accurate information, understands the core UnShaadi format and is subsequently not admitted after screening, the eligible screening amount will be refunded in accordance with the policy communicated during registration.
A rejection refund may not apply where:
- Material information was false or deliberately withheld
- The applicant was not legally or genuinely single
- The application was fraudulent or insincere
- The programme was misused
- The applicant sought a fundamentally different service after the UnShaadi format had been clearly explained
Applicants are welcome to have reasonable preferences. However, UnShaadi may not be suitable for someone seeking rigid, checklist-based or completely customised matchmaking.
6. A curated process, not a profile catalogue
UnShaadi does not provide unrestricted access to its member community.
Members do not automatically receive profiles of every eligible person. Introductions are selected thoughtfully using a combination of information, judgment and programme experience.
Factors may include:
- Relationship intentions
- Values and personality
- Emotional and communication compatibility
- Lifestyle and practical alignment
- Preferences shared by both people
- Location and availability
- Feedback from previous interactions
- Participation history
- The composition of the active member community
- UnShaadi's assessment of mutual suitability
The presence of another eligible member does not automatically create an entitlement to an introduction.
We may also decide not to facilitate a particular introduction where we believe that it would be unsuitable, uncomfortable or inconsistent with the interests of either person.
7. Introductions during the programme
During a standard three-month programme, UnShaadi will endeavour to facilitate approximately three to ten fresh introductions.
The number and timing of introductions may vary based on:
- The availability of mutually suitable members
- The composition of the active member pool
- Your stated preferences
- Your flexibility and openness
- Your city and location
- Scheduling compatibility
- Your responsiveness and availability
- Pauses or changes requested during the programme
- Circumstances outside UnShaadi's reasonable control
The range is indicative and not a guarantee of a fixed number.
Our focus is not to fill a calendar with arbitrary meetings. Our aim is to facilitate introductions that have a genuine reason to be explored.
Some introductions may lead to repeat dates or an ongoing connection. Others may conclude after the first interaction. Both are a natural part of a thoughtful relationship process.
8. Repeat dates and developing connections
Where two members express mutual interest, they may choose to meet again and explore the connection further.
Repeat dates may be supported or coordinated by UnShaadi depending on the programme and the members' preferences.
Members are expected to keep UnShaadi reasonably informed when:
- They would like to meet someone again
- They are exploring a connection seriously
- They wish to pause fresh introductions
- They become exclusive
- Their relationship status changes
This allows us to protect the experience of everyone involved and avoid creating misleading introductions.
9. Programme activation and tenure
Payment reserves your place in the selected programme and allows the team to begin the relevant onboarding, profile preparation and curation work.
Unless a different date is communicated in writing, your active programme tenure will be calculated from the date UnShaadi schedules your first introduction.
Membership is activated only after payment has been successfully received through an authorised payment method.
Your membership concludes at the end of the selected tenure unless it is renewed or extended in writing.
10. Programme plans
The duration, fees, taxes, inclusions and payment requirements of your selected plan will be communicated before registration.
Once payment has been made and programme capacity has been reserved, the selected plan cannot ordinarily be downgraded. This is because our team begins allocating time, capacity and curation resources according to the tenure selected.
Upgrades, renewals, pauses and extensions are subject to the applicable programme policy and availability.
11. Participation makes the programme work
A highly curated programme works best when every member participates sincerely.
Members are expected to:
- Respond to programme communication within a reasonable time
- Provide practical and timely availability
- Attend agreed conversations and dates punctually
- Communicate changes as early as possible
- Approach introductions with reasonable openness
- Interact respectfully
- Share honest feedback when requested
- Avoid accepting introductions without a genuine intention to participate
- Inform UnShaadi when their relationship status changes
UnShaadi will put thoughtful effort into finding and coordinating suitable introductions. Members are expected to bring the same seriousness to the process.
Repeated non-responsiveness, avoidable cancellations or consistently disengaged participation may affect our ability to provide the intended programme experience.
12. Scheduling and cancellations
We understand that genuine emergencies and unavoidable changes can happen.
Members should inform UnShaadi as early as reasonably possible when a confirmed interaction needs to be rescheduled.
If the other person cancels a confirmed introduction, it will not be treated as a completed fresh introduction for you. We will endeavour to arrange a replacement and may extend the programme tenure where reasonably required.
An introduction may be treated as utilised where a member:
- Does not attend without informing us
- Cancels repeatedly
- Cancels without reasonable notice
- Becomes unavailable after confirming the meeting
- Does not cooperate with reasonable rescheduling attempts
Genuine emergencies and exceptional circumstances may be considered individually and reasonably.
13. Respect, consent and safety
Every member deserves to feel respected, comfortable and safe.
All interactions must remain lawful, consensual and considerate.
Members must not:
- Harass, threaten, intimidate or abuse another person
- Pressure someone into emotional, physical, financial or sexual intimacy
- Use discriminatory, degrading or sexually inappropriate language
- Continue contacting someone after being asked to stop
- Stalk, impersonate or deliberately mislead another person
- Record a private interaction without consent
- Share another member's information without permission
- Solicit money, investments, employment or commercial services
- Use UnShaadi for casual encounters, networking, recruitment or promotion
- Misuse private conversations, photographs or contact information
Concerns relating to conduct or safety should be brought to UnShaadi's attention promptly.
Where reasonably necessary, we may review a concern, pause introductions, restrict participation or discontinue a membership to protect the people involved and the integrity of the community.
Serious safety concerns may require immediate action.
14. Screening and personal safety
UnShaadi takes care while screening applicants and maintaining the quality of the member community. However, no screening process can independently verify every statement or completely eliminate interpersonal risk.
UnShaadi cannot guarantee the character, private conduct or future behaviour of any member.
Members should continue to exercise their own judgment and take reasonable precautions, including:
- Meeting initially in a public place
- Arranging their own transport
- Informing a trusted person about their plans
- Protecting sensitive personal and financial information
- Avoiding premature financial commitments
- Respecting their own boundaries and comfort
- Conducting any additional verification they consider appropriate
A curated community creates a safer and more intentional environment, but it does not replace personal judgment.
15. Privacy and confidentiality
Privacy is central to the UnShaadi experience.
Member profiles, photographs, personal histories, conversations, feedback and contact details are shared only where reasonably required for screening, curation and introductions.
Members must treat information about other members confidentially. Information relating to another member must not be:
- Published publicly
- Posted on social media
- Forwarded without permission
- Shared with unrelated third parties
- Used commercially
- Used for networking, solicitation or recruitment
- Retained or circulated unnecessarily
UnShaadi may collect and use personal information for processing applications, conducting screening, creating internal member profiles, curating introductions, coordinating meetings, communicating with members, administering payments and subscriptions, addressing safety concerns, improving programme delivery and fulfilling operational and legal obligations.
Further details will be available in the UnShaadi Privacy Policy.
16. Communication
By applying or participating, you consent to receiving essential communications relating to your application, screening, registration and payment, onboarding, scheduling, introductions, membership administration, feedback and safety or service-related matters.
Communication may take place through telephone, email, WhatsApp, text message, video call or another channel used during registration.
Members are responsible for providing accurate contact information and reviewing relevant programme communication.
Optional promotional communication may be managed separately from essential programme communication.
17. Fees and refunds
Programme fees are non-refundable after admission and confirmation of membership, except where a refund is expressly provided under the applicable screening policy, UnShaadi confirms a refund in writing, or a refund is required under applicable law.
A refund will not ordinarily be provided where:
- A member changes their mind after payment
- Personal or professional circumstances change
- The member becomes unavailable
- The member begins a relationship or is no longer single
- A particular introduction does not result in mutual interest
- A member does not feel chemistry with an introduction
- A connection does not progress into a relationship
- The member does not participate sufficiently
- Membership is discontinued because of a serious or material breach
- Material information provided during application was false or incomplete
Fees and memberships are non-transferable.
UnShaadi commits to providing the agreed process. It cannot guarantee the feelings, decisions or choices of another person.
18. No guaranteed relationship outcome
UnShaadi has been designed to improve the quality of introductions and create better conditions for meaningful relationships to develop.
However, human connection cannot be manufactured or guaranteed.
UnShaadi does not guarantee:
- Attraction
- Chemistry
- Mutual interest
- A repeat date
- Exclusivity
- A relationship
- Engagement
- Marriage
- Acceptance by another member or their family
- A relationship within a particular timeline
The fact that an introduction does not progress does not mean that the programme service was not provided.
Our responsibility is to screen carefully, curate thoughtfully and administer the programme sincerely. The decision to meet again, become exclusive or build a relationship always remains with the two individuals involved.
19. Pausing or discontinuing participation
UnShaadi may pause, restrict or discontinue a membership where a member:
- Provides materially inaccurate or misleading information
- Is no longer legally or genuinely single
- Harasses or mistreats another person
- Breaches another member's privacy
- Creates a safety concern
- Uses the programme for an unauthorised purpose
- Repeatedly fails to participate
- Misuses member information
- Seriously or repeatedly disregards programme expectations
- Materially breaches these terms
Where appropriate, we may first communicate the concern and allow the member an opportunity to respond.
Immediate action may be taken in matters involving safety, harassment, fraud, serious misconduct or deliberate misrepresentation.
A membership discontinued because of a serious or material breach will not ordinarily be eligible for a refund.
20. Programme updates
UnShaadi may reasonably update its programme formats, subscription plans, scheduling methods, processes, technology or operational practices.
These changes may be made to:
- Improve the member experience
- Protect safety and privacy
- Maintain the quality of the community
- Respond to changing operational requirements
- Improve the likelihood of successful participation
A pricing change will not retrospectively change the price of an already confirmed and fully paid membership unless mutually agreed.
We will not materially reduce the core inclusions of an active paid programme without communicating the change or providing a reasonable alternative.
21. Questions before registration
We want applicants to enter the programme feeling informed, comfortable and clear.
You are encouraged to ask questions about the programme, format, inclusions, pricing or policies before making a payment.
Any specific written inclusions communicated for your selected programme should be read together with these membership terms.
22. Acceptance of these terms
By applying, registering, making a payment or participating in the UnShaadi programme, you confirm that:
- You satisfy the applicable eligibility requirements
- You are legally and genuinely single
- The information you provide is truthful
- You understand the selective nature of the programme
- You understand that introductions are curated rather than chosen from a catalogue
- You understand that the number and timing of introductions may vary
- You understand that relationship outcomes cannot be guaranteed
- You agree to participate sincerely and respectfully
- You agree to protect the privacy of other members
- You agree to inform UnShaadi if your relationship status changes
- You have reviewed the terms applicable to your selected programme
